Sea of Love by Cat Power

R.I.P. Jewelie Mendenhall

I lost one of my best friends this August 2012. Jewelie was one of my first friends I made when I moved to San Diego, Ca. I met her when I started working at the "Service Station" hair salon in the Kennsington neighborhood of San Diego. She instantly be-friend ed me. Some of the best times in my life were with this gal. She was very unique and passionate. She introduced me to the Avocado, like a good California native should. She also introduced me to the world of swing dancing. She loved to dance. She was a friend I could just call up any time and chat. She was someone you could count on. I miss her dearly. Here are some of the photos from our friendship.

Another year bites the dust

Well, its been one year since I made the move back to the east coast. Last year at this time I was doing a few freelance jobs in order to get back on my feet again. I had the pleasure of working for Louis Vuitton and Gucci. It was very interesting to say the least. Luxury retail at its finest. Here are some snap shots from my experience.

Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy really did a number at the Jersey shore. It's hard to believe that the beach I grew up going to every summer as a kid, is in complete disarray. I have some close friends who reside in Margate, N.J. Lucky they made it out in time and are safe and recovering now. Here are some photos from my visit this past summer in Margate, N.J. Lots of people still have no power and can not get to their homes. My heart goes out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy. If you would like to make a donation for the disaster relief fund you can do so here www.redcross.org

Moto Steez.

Moto steez, A.K.A. Moto Style, is one of my favorite's. As far as I can see, this style will never go out of style. It's always "in fashion" I look back and wish I still have some of these pieces, but lucky for you I sometimes let go of the good stuff:) Here are some of my favorite vintage moto pieces from the Nana Pat Project archives.
